Objectives of the EU4ED Module: · To provide non-economic faculty students with knowledge about the mechanisms of EU economic diplomacy implementation, in order to diversify career perspectives;

· To employ interdisciplinary and integrated methods in addressing the topics of EU economic diplomacy – as a new direction in European studies;

· To examine the characteristics of EU foreign policy action to develop understanding of the decision-making process within the EU and highlight the EU’s role on the international stage;

· To promote dialogue between the academic environment and politicians/professional groups/civil society in Moldova;

· To disseminate information about the EU using modern information technologies.

Activities: · To ensure the teaching of two courses within the module:

· EU Economic Diplomacy;

· EU Foreign Policy Action.

· To provide knowledge to students from non-economic specialties about EU economic diplomacy and EU foreign policy action;

· To organize six roundtable discussions on the topics of EU economic diplomacy and the main directions of EU foreign policy action, with the participation of students, master’s and doctoral candidates, pre-university education institutions, representatives of civil society, and the media;

· To publish at least two articles annually on the subjects of the modular courses;

· To edit two textbooks on the modular courses;

· To participate in information dissemination activities at both national and European levels.

Objectives: · To conduct lectures and seminars for the courses of the EU Economic Diplomacy module as a tool of foreign policy action;

· To encourage module instructors to participate in information dissemination activities about European diplomacy.

Outcomes:

 

· To disseminate knowledge about EU economic diplomacy and EU foreign policy action in the field of education and research;

· To develop curricula for university courses on EU Economic Diplomacy and EU Foreign Policy Action;

· To promote educational innovations and improve the quality of teaching EU-related courses;

· To enhance the visibility of scientific resources and research results regarding European integration;

· To establish and maintain cooperation between the academic environment, central public administration institutions, and civil society in the Republic of Moldova.

Deliverables · 6 published articles;

· 2 course materials.

Estimated Impact:

 

· Increase in the number of courses dedicated to European Union studies.

· Expansion of the number of students, master’s, and doctoral candidates possessing knowledge about the EU.

· Training of professionals who will contribute to the development and strengthening of relations between the EU and the Republic of Moldova.
